Shared sounds also provides information about the best legal music-sharing resources on the net, and commentary on emusic legislation.

SharedSounds.org attributes authorship of original recorded pieces to their composers and producers. SharedSounds.org asserts ownership of the recordings, and licenses them under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0 License. Legalese aside, these works are put up for your enjoyment - and since they are encoded at 128k, there really isnt any way a self respecting bootlegger would sell these. That said, please respect the wishes of the artists, enjoy and share the recordings, and buy their CD's and go to their shows. It's important to let artists know that by sharing their music they are increasing their revenue-generating audience.
