コクヨ株式会社（本社；大阪市 社長；黒田章裕）は、表紙の原料に間伐材（木材用の森林で抜き切りした木）を２０％配合し、間伐材を有効活用することで森林保全に貢献する「フラットファイル（間伐材使用）」を、１１月１５日に発売します。
森林は、水源の保持・空気の浄化・表土の流出防止など、地球環境保護にとって重要な役割を担っています。しかし、その森林も、不要な木を抜き切りする「間伐」によって人為的に手入れをしないと本来の機能を発揮できなくなります。そこで、当社では、デスク天板に間伐材を使用するなど、これまで用途がなく廃棄されていた間伐材の活用に積極的に取り組んできました。
今回発売する「フラットファイル（間伐材使用）」は、表紙の原料に間伐材を２０％配合し、商品に林野庁の推進のもとに制定された「間伐材マーク」を付けて、間伐の必要性や間伐材の有効性など、広く一般に対して間伐材への関心の喚起を図っています。また、表紙は間伐材だけでなく古紙を８０％配合し、とじ具と表紙を分別廃棄可能なリサイクル設計にして、グリーン購入法適合商品になっています。
また、とじ具はワンタッチで簡単に開閉でき、とじ穴が大きく、とじ足の挿入がスムーズなユニバーサルデザインの樹脂製とじ具を採用し、使いやすさにも配慮しています。
サイズはファイルでは最も売れ筋のＡ４サイズ１種類で価格は１２０円です。
