12月27日 〜日原鍾乳洞ライブ〜
日本の代表的鍾乳洞のひとつでもある奥多摩町日原鍾乳洞において、日原周辺地域の活性化を即し、鍾乳洞の自然造形を楽しみながら鍾乳洞を有効活用して正しく保存してゆく意識を、地域と一緒に育てていこう、という意味合いを持って行われるユニークなライブイベント。
日原自治会の協力の下実現する運びとなりました。
大自然の育んだ天然の音響効果の中、水滴の落ちるかすかな音や、民族楽器、アコースティック楽器などを中心に電気の使用を録音だけに抑えた人と、自然に優しいプログラムとなっています。

１９７３年にこの鍾乳洞をレコーディング地に選び翌年ポリドールレコードより発売した先駆者で、日本の生んだ世界的アーティスト マジカルパワーマコ氏（magical power mako)の全面的な協力と演奏参加により実現する、今年の最後を飾るにふさわしい、鍾乳洞を有する日原ならではの洞窟イベント。
演奏の最後に登場する日原地区の勇者による
祭りばやしが最後を締めくくります。
レコーディングされたものは来年、全国に向けて発売予定で、今後、継続的なイベントとして年間を通じて行っていくため日原鍾乳洞の観光資料としても期待されています。
エコツーリズムの観点からも意味合いの深い地域であるため、これを機に地域と観光客のこれまでの関係以上の新しい奥多摩地区の楽しみ方や、自然とのふれあいが出きる場所として期待されています。
