ライブ情報の掲載をしていただき有難うございました。
北インド古典舞踊は、約２５００年の歴史を持っております。そのカタック・ダンスは、カタカと呼ばれるヒンドウー教の語り部達が神話や英雄物語を伝導して歩いたことが起源とされています。１０世紀以降、カタック・ダンスは、イスラム文化の影響を受け、華かな宮廷舞踊の形へ変遷していきました。
フラメンコの原型とも言われるこの舞踊は、激しいステップと優雅な所作、旋回を特徴としています。きらびやかな衣装を身に纏い、ステップをきる踊り手に、観客はいつしか見入ってしまうでしょう。
インドの伝統舞踊は、ひとつの家族が代々伝える家元制度となっております。カタック・ダンスの最も古い流派であるラクノウ派は、現在7代目の家元であり、インド・人間国宝であるパドマビブーシャン・ビルジュ・マハラジが伝統を守っております。インド独立後、彼は、カタック・ダンスを古典舞踊といだけではなく、華麗な舞台芸術へと導きました。その振り付けは、非常に優雅で美しく、高度な技術で構成されています。
ダンサーのクンジュビハリ氏の略歴を以下に紹介します。
‘８３年より、カッタクダンスを始める。’８５渡印。パダテイック・ダンスセンターにてパンデイット・ビジェシャンカル氏に師事。‘９２インド国立舞踏学校カッタック・ケンドラに入学。’９４より、ラクノウ流家元、パンデイット・ビルジュ・マハラジ氏に師事。日本各地、インド、南米などで国内外の演奏家と共演。静岡県天竜市立「秋野不矩美術館」開館の際にも大好評を博している。また、NNKニュースのドキュメント等で、紹介される。
また、カタックダンスの伴奏とともに、北インド古典音楽をバンスリ奏者のカルロス氏と演奏します。
カルロス氏の略歴は以下に紹介します。
スペインのマドリード生まれ。８３年よりネパールでラム・ハリ・グルン師より北インド古典音楽（ボーカル・バンスリ）を学ぶ。８９年よりニューデリーのガンダルバ・マハビデイアラジャ音楽学院にて、スリ・ハルシュワダン師からもバンスリの手ほどきを受ける。以来、スペイン、インド、ネパール、日本で精力的に活動を展開している。
