御影堂の屋根に太陽光発電パート2

真宗大谷派の本山・東本願寺（京都市下京区）の御影堂（ごえいどう）の屋根に、太陽光発電の導入を提案している有志僧侶グループは１３日、全国集会を同区内の京都教務所で開き、より広く意義をアピールする方法を探った。

立島弘・称名寺住職（富山県小矢部市）ら「両堂屋根瓦のソーラー化を実現する会」が、去年秋に続いて開いた。会の呼びかけに賛同する署名はこれまで４０００人を超えた。御影堂の修復を検討する宗派内の委員会は今年２月、太陽光発電の導入を事実上見送る報告を宗務総長に提出している。
北陸地方や地元京都の僧侶十数人が参加した集会で、冨田直樹・円光寺住職（山科区）らが「最終結論は出ていない。ソーラー化の必要をもっと広く訴えるべきだ」と提起した。参加者からは「末寺の住職でさえ、太陽光導入をめぐる論議の過程や意義を十分に知らない」との声や「より幅広い環境問題へと取り組みの視点を広げては」との意見が上がった。
記念講演で福島和人・大谷大非常勤講師は、真宗の教義を踏まえてソーラー化導入の必要性について語った。
