次のMac OS X“Panther”

Apple、開発者向けイベントWWDCを6月に延期
～次のMac OS X“Panther”を持ち帰り可能に

昨年のWWDCの基調講演
3月21日(現地時間) 発表

　米Appleは、5月19日～23日(現地時間)に開催を予定していた開発者向けイベント「WWDC(WorldWide Developers Conference」を6月23日～27日(同)に延期すると発表した。場所もサンノゼからサンフランシスコに変更される。

　リリースによれば「開催時期を再設定することで、Mac OS Xの次バージョン“Panther”を開発者に渡し、持ち帰ってももらうことが可能になる」としている。

　WWDCは、Appleの開発者に向けて年1度行なわれるイベント。基調講演などの一部を除き、内容は非公開とされており、技術情報やロードマップが公開される。
