I think I saw some of your designs on a shirt the other day here in Melbourne. You know the indian animal motiffs.
Things are going well in melbourne I have a new studio in the middle of the city with 10 other artists, film makers, designers, publishers. The space is 400 square meters so it's big with lots of natural light and a roof top balcony, whitch should be good for the summer months. We (the studio) are all so trying to put together an international artist in residency program. The space is an artist run space so it is non profit and we don't have a big budget to work with but we do have a lot of knowledge to offer and connections to offer. Basically the resident would be offered a studio in the main area, we have a gallery that is almost finished and and a room with a bath room kitchen and view of the city.
If you know of anyone who might be interested in working with us please let me know.
To give you an idea of the cost of living in Melbourne the 400 square meter space costs us about 200,000 yen per month including electricity.
I will be back on Japan from the the beginning of April 2003 staying in Mokujima, I have an artist in residency there in a place that was a rice shop many years ago.

I will be glad to go to Australia and join the risidency program someday.
Actually, I moved to Kichijoji, and for past 2 month, I was running the artist residency program of my own. I had an artist(a friend who does sculpture work) living with me and making a sculpture for a scholarship program.
He will start travelling around the world from next year and is interested in going to Australia to join you guys.
